About
Opportunity Himley Village
Connecting Cherwell residents with local employment, training and skills opportunities
Local Impact
Real Local Benefits
When new developments come to a community, they bring real opportunities for local people - jobs, apprenticeships, training and community engagement.
Himley Village is a new community of up to 1,700 homes on Middleton Stoney Road in Bicester, as part of the North West Bicester Eco-Town. All apprenticeship opportunities are committed, and every job vacancy, apprenticeship and supplier opportunity is advertised to Bicester residents first.
Cala Homes (Chiltern) is delivering 500 homes in Himley Village Bicester. Local residents get first sight of jobs, apprenticeships and training placements created on the scheme, with on-the-ground support to apply.

Purpose
Our Mission
We believe local development should mean local jobs. Opportunity Himley Village exists because when major new development reshapes Cherwell, the jobs, apprenticeships and training it creates should land first with the people whose streets are changing, not travel to outsiders with better networks.
We work with local initiatives, pairing every listing with resident-facing support from local partners so Cherwell residents are first in line where they live.
